Dr. Lauren Jakubowski joined VCA in 2009 and has been with VCA All About Pets since September 2012. Dr. Jakubowski received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She also holds a Master's of Science in Biology, also from the University of Illinois. . In addition to an interest in small animal dentistry, neurology, cardiology, and behavior medicine, Dr. Jakubowski sees exotic species such as small mammals (rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, guinea pigs), birds, and reptiles. She lives in San Jose with her cat, Indy..for now the only pet in the house! Dr. Jakubowski enjoys running, exploring all the towns and parks that the area has to offer, and watching great movies. She is always open to suggestions about a new area to visit!.
Dr. Hiroko Hata joined VCA All About Pets Animal Hospital in October 2012. She had previously worked at VCA San Martin for over a year. She was born and raised in Japan and moved to southern California when she was 10. Dr. Hata received her DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2008. She completed an intensive rotating internship in Tucson, Arizona, where she discovered her love for emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology..and dachshunds!. When not in the clinic, she can be found spoiling her rescue dog Bunny (not a dachshund) at local beaches and trails, volunteering for a trap, neuter, and release feral cat program, and discovering new restaurants and trying new food in the Bay Area.
Dr. Kokes started working for for VCA All About Pets in 2001. She has a Shephard mix named "Rita Mae" and a Siberian cat named "Cheddar". In her free time she enjoys going to the Minnesota Wild games, snow boarding and fishing.
Dr. Jaime Shriver graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She joined the VCA All About Pets staff in 2012. Dr. Shriver is a Minnesota native and worked for 10 years as a veterinary assistant before going to veterinary school. She has special interests in cardiology and dentistry. She shares her home with a Cavalier Spaniel/Cocker Spaniel mix named Theodore and a Maine Coon cat named Jack. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Dr. Sepulveda grew up on a farm in small town called San Bernardo, south of Santiago-Chile. He received his DVM degree from the University of Concepcion in 1998. He moved to the United States in 2001 to pursue additional training. He completed one year of clinical training at the University of Minnesota to become licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the USA. His special interests include: dermatology, internal medicine and general surgery. In his free time, Dr. Sepulveda enjoys outdoor activities such us walking, hiking and biking around the lakes or trails. . Dr. Sepulveda is fluent in English and Spanish.
